Color: Gray, violet, blue, yellow

Appearance: Small, translucent, color changes with angleof view

Source: USA

Iolite is a magnesium aluminiumsilicate mineral with an orthorhombic crystal structure and a hardness of 7 to7.5. The name iolite comes from thestone’s violet color. The most importantdeposits are in Brazil, Madagascar, Burma, India and Sri Lanka.
